WELCOME TO MAIN HALL / PAVILION RENTAL INFO PAGE OF THE AMERICAN LEGION POST 47


Thank you for considering the American Legion Post 47 for your upcoming event.  We strive to make the process one that provides all the answers to the many questions that come up when planning an event.  We offer two wonderful venues both with a beautiful view of the Susquehanna River. We are a not-for-profit organization and all of our services are provided by volunteers of our Legion Family.  Through our rentals we provide our community outreach to our local veterans.   So let’s get started with our descriptions of the services that Post 47 has to offer. Our event coordinator will work with you to make sure that all of your needs are addressed and will be available as a point of contact.  Our banquet hall and pavilion provide two unique experiences. 



Banquet - Our Main Hall


Our Main Hall is a marvelous venue for weddings or larger parties. Our guests are able to decorate the hall in any manner they wish and we offer a clean-up service if needed.  Our Main Hall accommodates 200 people.  We also have a full bar and kitchen services.  The acoustics in the Main Hall are wonderful and a live band or disc jockey can get the party started.  Our event coordinator will assist you in all areas and will set a meeting with one of our legion family volunteers to assist with your menu and pricing needs.  Once the catering is taken care of, our Legion Family will take over and make sure your event is one that will be enjoyed by all your guests.



Pavilion


If an outside venue is what you are looking for, our pavilion offers a full kitchen, restrooms, 15 large picnic tables (each sits 8) and a beautiful lawn that can be used for horse shoes, volleyball, and badminton and we also have a fire pit. Our pavilion can also accommodate live music or a disc jockey.  Parking is readily available when choosing Post 47.  When choosing the pavilion our Legion Family can cater according to your specific needs.  Our event coordinator will work with you to set up your menus and will arrange a meeting with our volunteers to assist with menu pricing.  Anything goes at the pavilion from burgers and dogs to pit beef or even a roasted pig and, of course, crabs.  Our pavilion venue is unique!  There is no other like it on the Havre de Grace Waterfront.
